November 202119 November 2021 Goodness me, it's over half way through November and I haven't even posted anything yet! Despite the slow start to the harvest and the weird way it is unfolding this year, we have been busy. Cleaning and setting up the site, unloading trucks as they come in and wondering if we will still be here in February! Crops haven't come on as they should in may places and are late. Some Barley and Wheat are still tinged with greenery and the usual flow of Canola, Barley and Wheat has not happened. Mind you, many farmers are into their Canola because at around $1,000 a tonne, they are reaping the best prices they have had for many a year, so that has dictated things a little. We have had some hot weather which has been harder to handle this year for some reason, and we have had some cold weather and rain, another totally mixed bag. So with not much else to say I'll leave it here and probably add more at the end of the month.
Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
